Reviewer Form Adds Two Questions
If you want to serve as an HRSA grant reviewer, HRSA updated its online Reviewer Recruitment Module to change two questions about past/current affiliations or characteristics and demographic information to comply with administration priorities. HRSA says demographic questions are voluntary and no one is required to provide them to join the reviewer pool or be selected. HRSA maintains a roster of approximately 9,000 qualified reviewers who can use the web-based system to register and update their information.
Estimated Time Burden to Complete Form
If you are a new reviewer, HRSA estimates the registration form takes about 0.333 hours (20 minutes). If you are updating reviewer information, HRSA estimates about 0.166 hours (10 minutes) per update. HRSA estimates 700 new reviewer responses and 9,000 updates annually, for a total annual burden of 1,727 hours.
No New Monetary Costs; Access Requirements
HRSA states this revision involves no new costs. The web-based Reviewer Recruitment Module is 508-compliant and accessible via common internet browsers, but HRSA requires reviewers to have internet access on a secure desktop, laptop, or tablet and either a landline or Voice Over Internet Protocol phone to participate in objective review committees.
