OSHA Lets UL Certify More Products

OSHA approved an expansion of UL LLC's recognition as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) effective May 22, 2026. This recognition means employers may use products tested and approved by UL (under 29 CFR 1910.7) to meet OSHA standards that require product testing and certification.

New UL Test Site Added in Madrid

OSHA expanded UL's NRTL scope to add one test site: Certification Entity for Renewable Energies (CERE), C/Monturiol 15, Getafe, Madrid 28906, Spain, with the expansion effective May 22, 2026. UL may perform product testing and certification at that Madrid site only for the test standards and capabilities for which the site is approved.
