FAA Issues Cyber-Security Rules for Vintage Boeing 757s

Published Date: 6/1/2026

Rule

Summary

Honeywell is upgrading Boeing 757-200 planes with new digital systems that connect to outside networks, which is a big change from how these planes worked before. Because current safety rules don’t cover this kind of tech, the FAA set special new safety standards to keep everyone safe. These rules take effect June 1, 2026, and Honeywell must follow them while the public can comment until July 16, 2026.
