More weekday A.M.-settled NDX expirations

If you trade Nasdaq-100 (NDX) options, the Exchange will allow new A.M.-settled NDX option series that can expire on any Monday–Friday (except the third Friday of the month or days that coincide with an end-of-month expiration) and also on the last trading day of the month. The Exchange filed this change on June 17, 2026 and the filing became effective immediately and operative for 30 days from the filing date. The Exchange says these new expirations give market participants more ways to time hedges, tailor strategies, and potentially reduce the premium cost of protection.

No new position limits; same trading rules

The new A.M.-settled NDX expirations will be subject to the same Exchange rules that govern other NDX options, including customer account rules, margin requirements, and trading halt procedures. The filing also states there are no position limits for NDX options pursuant to Options 4A, Section 6(a)(i).
