Remove Obsolete Pilot Certificate Rules

The FAA proposes to remove and reserve 14 CFR Sec. 61.7 and Sec. 61.11, which refer to pilot certificates and ratings issued more than 50 years ago. FAA says this will not change any current pilot privileges, imposes no new costs, notes there are four holders of obsolete free-balloon certificates who have current replacement certificates, and invites comments through July 27, 2026.
