Large Louisiana Natural Gas Storage Built

Vinton Dome filed an application on June 16, 2026 to build a new natural gas storage facility in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana with about 44.5 billion cubic feet of working gas capacity in five new caverns and a new 55,000 horsepower compressor station. The company says the Project will provide storage, parking, loaning, and wheeling services for power generators, local distribution companies, LNG exporters, pipelines, producers, and residential, commercial, and industrial natural gas consumers.
