FERC staff prepared an environmental assessment (EA) for the Southeast Virginia Energy Storage Project and concluded that approval of the proposed project would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment. The public may submit comments on the EA to the Commission by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on August 17, 2026.
