Summary

In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Archaeological Survey of Idaho Western Repository (ASI-WR) has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects and has determined that there is a cultural affiliation between the human remains and associated funerary objects and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations in this notice.

Repatriation to Coeur D'Alene Tribe

The Archaeological Survey of Idaho Western Repository (ASI-WR) determined that human remains of four Native American individuals and 368 associated funerary objects are culturally affiliated with the Coeur D'Alene Tribe. Written requests for repatriation may be submitted by the Coeur D'Alene Tribe, other Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations identified in the notice, or by lineal descendants who show cultural affiliation; repatriation may occur on or after September 2, 2026.
