Temporary North East River closure

You (people and vessel operators) may not enter, transit, anchor in, or remain in the regulated area of Hambrooks Bay/North East River near North East, Maryland during the power boat race on September 12, 2026 (rain date September 13, 2026) unless the Captain of the Port (COTP) or their representative authorizes you. The rule is effective from 8:00 a.m. on September 12, 2026 through 6:00 p.m. on September 13, 2026, and will be enforced from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days; to request permission contact the COTP on VHF-FM channel 16 or telephone (410) 576-2693.
