UL's NRTL Recognition Expanded

OSHA expanded UL LLC's Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) recognition effective August 21, 2026 to include three test standards: UL 1004-9, UL 979, and UL 2683. This lets employers use UL-approved testing and certification under those standards to meet OSHA requirements for products covered by those standards.

UL 2683 Added to NRTL Standards List

OSHA is adding the test standard UL 2683 (Electric Heating Systems for Floor and Ceiling Installation) to the NRTL Program's List of Appropriate Test Standards effective August 21, 2026. Any NRTL recognized for UL 2683 may be used by employers for OSHA-required third-party testing and certification for products covered by that standard.
