FEMA locks in flood hazard changes for listed U.S. communities

Summary
New or modified Base (1-percent annual chance) Flood Elevations (BFEs), base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries or zone designations, and/or regulatory floodways (hereinafter referred to as flood hazard determinations) as shown on the indicated Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for each of the communities listed in the table below are finalized. Each LOMR revises the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), and in some cases the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports, currently in effect for the listed communities.

Finalized flood map changes
FEMA finalized new or modified flood hazard determinations (Base Flood Elevations, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries, zone designations, and/or regulatory floodways) as shown in Letters of Map Revision for the listed communities. The LOMRs revise Flood Insurance Rate Maps and, in some cases, Flood Insurance Study reports, with finalization dates shown in the table (examples include May 6, 2026; May 14, 2026; May 19, 2026; May 21, 2026; May 22, 2026; May 28, 2026; May 29, 2026; June 1, 2026; June 4, 2026; and June 5, 2026).
Maps set NFIP management rules
The new or modified flood hazard information becomes the basis for the floodplain management measures a community must adopt or show are already in effect for it to remain qualified for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Communities listed must use these revised flood hazard determinations when meeting NFIP requirements.
Use updated community number for policies
The notice states the current effective community number shown in the LOMR must be used for all new flood insurance policies and renewals. Insurers and policyholders in the listed communities should use the updated community number when obtaining or renewing NFIP coverage.
Owners urged to review final maps
FEMA encourages lessees and owners of real property in the listed communities to review the final flood hazard information at the community map repository or online through the FEMA Map Service Center (https://msc.fema.gov). The notice identifies community map repository addresses and states each LOMR is available for inspection.

2026-18419, Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program; Fire Prevention and Safety Grants
Pursuant to the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974, as amended, the Administrator of FEMA is publishing this notice describing the fiscal year (FY) 2025 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) and Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) grant programs application processes, deadlines and award selection criteria. This notice explains the differences, if any, between these guidelines and those recommended by representatives of the national fire service leadership during the annual meeting of the Criteria Development Panel (CDP), which was held September 9, 2025. The application period for the FY 2025 AFG Program was May 19, 2026, to June 22, 2026, and the FY 2025 FP&S Program was May 19, 2026, to June 22, 2026. The application periods were announced on the FEMA Fire Grant website at https://www.fema.gov/grants/ preparedness/firefighters, as well as at https://www.grants.gov.
