Notice
Summary
This notice lists communities where the addition or modification of Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries or zone designations, or the regulatory floodway (hereinafter referred to as flood hazard determinations), as shown on the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), and where applicable, in the supporting Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports, prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for each community, is appropriate because of new scientific or technical data. The FIRM, and where applicable, portions of the FIS report, have been revised to reflect these flood hazard determinations through issuance of a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR), in accordance with Federal Regulations. The current effective community number is shown in the table below and must be used for all new policies and renewals.
Analyzed Economic Effects
4 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 1 mixed.
Communities Must Meet NFIP Floodplain Rules
The revised FIRMs and FIS reports are the basis of the floodplain management measures a community must adopt or show evidence of having in effect to qualify or remain qualified for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The determinations, together with criteria in 44 CFR 60.3, are the minimum required standards.
Use Updated Community Number For Insurance
If you buy or renew flood insurance in one of the listed communities, you must use the current effective community number shown in the table for all new policies and renewals. The table in this notice lists the revised map dates by community that finalize these changes.
You Have 90 Days To Appeal Map Changes
If a flood map change affects your property in a listed community, you have 90 days from the second local newspaper notice to ask the community to request reconsideration from FEMA. Requests for reconsideration must be submitted through the Chief Executive Officer of the community listed in the table.
Revised Flood Maps Are Available To Inspect
You can inspect the revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and related Flood Insurance Study reports online at the FEMA Map Service Center (https://msc.fema.gov) and at the local community map repository addresses listed in the table. The notice says the revised map information is available for comparison with the current effective FIRM and FIS for each community.
