Sheppard AFB to Receive T-7A Fleet
On August 4, 2026 the Air Force decided to implement Alternative 3 to recapitalize all T-38C aircraft at Sheppard AFB, TX with up to 131 T-7A aircraft, and to limit initial delivery to 108 aircraft. The Department of the Air Force will carry out all parts of the recapitalization, including operations and changes to the number of personnel and dependents as defined for Alternative 3.
