Falcon Jets Get Stricter Maintenance Rules from FAA

Published Date: 9/11/2026

Rule

Summary

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-23- 06, which applied to certain Dassault Aviation Model FALCON 2000EX airplanes. AD 2023-23-06 required revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. Since the FAA issued AD 2023-23- 06, the FAA has determined that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This AD continues to require certain actions in AD 2023-23-06 and requires revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

Operators must revise maintenance program

If you operate a Dassault Falcon 2000EX with an original airworthiness certificate issued on or before January 15, 2026, you must revise your maintenance or inspection program to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. The AD affects 315 U.S.-registered airplanes, is effective October 16, 2026, and requires the revision within 90 days after that effective date. The FAA estimates the revision takes 90 work-hours at $85 per hour, about $7,650 per operator.

Revision cancels prior AD obligations

After you accomplish the maintenance or inspection program revision required by this AD, the revision terminates certain prior AD requirements (including parts of AD 2023-23-06 or paragraph (g) as specified). This means completing the required revision removes the need to continue complying with those earlier specified requirements.
