If you use SNAP benefits in North Dakota, the State has requested to stop allowing SNAP purchases of "soft drinks", "energy drinks", and "candy". USDA FNA approved the State's initial request on December 10, 2025, the State requested to implement the project on September 1, 2026, and the agency is accepting public comments through October 15, 2026.
