Florida SNAP: Soda and Candy Excluded
If you use SNAP benefits in Florida, the State's approved demonstration project changes what SNAP can buy. Starting April 20, 2026, SNAP will exclude purchases of soda, energy drinks, candy, and prepared desserts; Florida requested the project on May 29, 2025 and FNA approved it on August 4, 2025.
