The Environmental Assessment was approved March 31, 2026, and the Finding of No Significant Impact was issued September 15, 2026, so construction can move forward on the project.
Freight Operators Gain Dedicated Lanes
The project will construct two barrier-separated northbound commercial vehicle lanes for approximately 38 miles, transition to a single auxiliary lane for about 2 additional miles, and add a single auxiliary merging lane on the general purpose lanes to accommodate merging trucks. The stated purpose is to improve freight movement on the I-75 northbound corridor through the five named counties.
