New SBIR/STTR certification form requirement
If you are a small business applying for USDA SBIR/STTR grants, you must complete a SBIR/STTR Funding Agreement Certification form that asks you to certify ten statements during the life of the award. If the small business is majority-owned by venture capital companies, hedge funds, or private equity firms, you must also complete an additional eight-question form. The agency estimates 180 respondents with a total burden of 93 hours and says the certification may need updating when changes in the small business concern occur.
