Became Law
This law authorizes the award of a single Congressional Gold Medal to the United States Army Rangers of World War II in recognition of their extraordinary service. It defines eligible Rangers by wartime service dates and assignment to Ranger battalions, directs the Secretary of the Treasury to design and strike the gold medal and give it to the Smithsonian for display and research, and authorizes the United States Mint to strike and sell bronze duplicates with proceeds deposited into the United States Mint Public Enterprise Fund.
