Quicker spectrum access for space companies

The law gives space launch and reentry companies access to three radio bands: 2025–2110, 2200–2290, and 2360–2395 MHz. Use is secondary and only for launches and reentries. Within 90 days, the FCC completes service rules and allocates the bands. Within 180 days, it issues streamlined, multi-launch authorizations with electronic filing and faster, automated coordination. Companies must coordinate with the Assistant Secretary and avoid harmful interference, including near Federal sites.
