Remove U.S. forces from hostilities with Iran

If both chambers adopt this resolution, Congress would direct the President to remove U.S. Armed Forces from hostilities with Iran. The rule would keep only forces needed to defend the United States or an ally or partner from an imminent attack. Continued defensive uses would be allowed only if the President fully complies with the War Powers Resolution reporting and consultation requirements. The directive would not apply if Congress declares war or specifically authorizes the use of military force against Iran.
