Cancel Defense cybersecurity certification for contractors
If enacted, this would void the Department of Defense rule for the CMMC program published Oct. 15, 2024 (89 Fed. Reg. 83092). Defense contractors, subcontractors, and vendors would not need to meet that specific CMMC rule. It would not set a replacement rule or provide funding. Other cybersecurity rules outside that rule could still apply.
