Independent antisemitism monitors at colleges

If enacted, the Education Department would, within 180 days, set up independent antisemitism monitors at certain colleges. It would apply only to schools that get Higher Education Act funds and that federal civil rights data show have high antisemitic activity. Each monitor would follow a Department-approved agreement, post quarterly public reports on the school and Department websites, and send an annual report with recommendations to Congress and others. The college would have to pay the monitor’s reasonable expenses.
