Higher SBA 504 loan limits

If enacted, the SBA Administrator would be able to approve 504 loan guarantees up to 115% of the usual annual commitment limit. This would apply starting in fiscal year 2027 and each year after. The power could be used only if the Administrator determines commitments could exceed the applicable limit. The SBA would have to notify the House and Senate small-business and appropriations committees at least 30 days before using it. The authority could be used no more than once in any fiscal year. This would not create new funding; it would only raise the allowable commitment ceiling when used.
