AmeriCorps awards for DACA recipients
If enacted, you would be eligible for an AmeriCorps educational award if you were granted deferred action under the DACA policy announced June 15, 2012. The bill would require agencies to decide eligibility without applying the limits in subtitle A of title IV of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (8 U.S.C. 1611 et seq.). This would apply to awards disbursed on or after the date of enactment. You would still need to meet the usual AmeriCorps program rules to receive the award.
