Delay and rename national risk reports

This bill would push two reporting deadlines four years later: 2024 becomes 2028, and 2026 becomes 2030. It would replace the 2020 and 2022 national strategies with three 2026 risk assessments. Those three documents would be the 2026 National Money Laundering Risk Assessment. They would also include the 2026 National Terrorist Financing Risk Assessment and the 2026 National Proliferation Financing Risk Assessment. Federal agencies, banks, and compliance officers would use these documents to assess illicit financing risk. This is a procedural change and would not create new funding, new penalties, or new eligibility rules. The changes would take effect upon enactment.
