Prevent marijuana use from blocking federal jobs
If enacted, you would not be denied a federal job or security clearance because of past marijuana use. The bill would define "marihuana" by reference to the Controlled Substances Act. Each federal agency would have one year after enactment to publish a public review process. That process would cover denials made on or after January 1, 2008. If you ask, the agency would review your denial within 90 days to see if it was based only on past marijuana use.
