More overdose tools for communities

If enacted, this bill would let state, local, and tribal programs use Byrne Justice Assistance Grant funds to buy fentanyl testing kits and opioid overdose-reversal medicines. It would not add new funding or force anyone to buy these items. The change would take effect upon enactment. Communities and first responders could use grant money to get more tools for overdose response.
