Special green card for Godfrey Wade
This bill would let Godfrey Oliver Wade apply for an immigrant visa under INA section 204 or adjust status under INA section 245 and become a lawful permanent resident. He would have to file the required application with the proper fees within two years after enactment. The Department of Homeland Security would have to cancel any removal or inadmissibility findings against him tied to the listed grounds and could not remove or deny him for grounds reflected in DHS or State Department records on the date of enactment. Wade would still need to meet other statutory eligibility rules for the visa or adjustment.
No immigration benefits for Wade's relatives
The bill would state that Wade's natural parents, brothers, and sisters would not get any rights, privileges, or immigration status under the Immigration and Nationality Act just because they are related to him. This restriction would apply only by virtue of their family relationship to Godfrey Oliver Wade.
Subtract one visa from country allotment
If Wade is granted an immigrant visa or lawful permanent residence, the State Department would subtract one immigrant visa from the total available to natives of his country of birth. The subtraction would apply under INA section 203(a) (or section 202(e), if applicable) in the current or next following fiscal year. This is a one-time, single visa reduction tied to Wade receiving status.
