More insurance for cattle producers

If enacted, livestock producers who raise bred cattle, replacement heifers, or cull cattle would be able to use the Federal Crop Insurance livestock pilot program starting with crop year 2027. The amendment only adds those cattle types to the pilot and does not set coverage amounts, premiums, eligibility rules, or funding. Producers would still be subject to the pilot program's existing terms and to how the administering agency implements the change.
