Acquired Lands Revenue Modernization Act

Sponsored By: Representative Taylor, David J. [R-OH-2]

Introduced

Summary

Changes how receipts from oil and gas leases on acquired federal lands are defined for distribution under existing mineral leasing laws. The bill would amend the Mineral Leasing Act for Acquired Lands and the Mineral Leasing Act to replace a conditional reference to "all" receipts with a plain "All" and to broaden cross‑references to include rentals (30 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.), other receipts (30 U.S.C. 1001 et seq.), and oil and gas leases under the Mineral Leasing Act for Acquired Lands (30 U.S.C. 351 et seq.). The amendments change the statutory basis for how those lease receipts are routed in the distribution framework. The text does not create new programs or add explicit appropriations.
