Military Family Relocation Support Act

Sponsored By: Representative Goodlander, Maggie [D-NH-2]

Introduced

Summary

Nutrition and child care resources would be added to the materials the Department of Defense provides to service members when they receive permanent change of station orders. The bill would amend 10 U.S.C. 1056(b)(2)(F) to require information on food access and assistance, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and state eligibility rules, and on available child care, including child care furnished under chapter 88 of title 10, DoD and community partner programs, and other local supports. The change is a required informational addition and would not create new benefits or authorize new funding.
