Show full summary
- Households and consumers: The public would get clear, visual reports on concentration and corporate or supply chain bottlenecks affecting everyday goods and services. Reports begin 2 years after enactment and repeat every 3 years.
- Businesses and platforms: Each report must name the top 4 firms in each covered sector and highlight platforms or services that could enable price coordination or discrimination, raising public scrutiny of dominant firms.
- Federal agencies and policy makers: The Federal Trade Commission would convene a working group within 1 year that includes the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Census Bureau, USDA, Commerce, HHS, HUD, Treasury, DOT, the FCC, and others to develop methods and share data. The bill also exempts information collections done to implement these reports from the Paperwork Reduction Act.
