More repayment flexibility for water projects
If enacted, receipts that earlier project-specific laws direct could be deposited into accounts other than the General Reclamation Fund. If enacted, the bill would also expand prepayment authority by making WIIN Act prepayment rules available through an added cross-reference. These changes would take effect upon enactment and apply only to receipts directed by project-specific statutes in effect before enactment. Water contractors, project operators, and state or local water agencies would be most affected.
