Skip federal reviews for some cell upgrades
If enacted, the bill would exempt some wireless projects from federal environmental and historic reviews. It would apply when adding antennas or gear to an existing cell site, or upgrading that gear. The project must also need an FCC permit or be under FCC jurisdiction. This covers cell and mobile data equipment. This could speed upgrades for carriers and site owners. The change would take effect upon enactment.
