Ban Chinese government land buys near federal land

If enacted, the President would have to block certain land deals. Agents of the Chinese government, and businesses with 25% or more Chinese government ownership, would be barred from buying real estate next to covered federal land. “Covered federal land” would mean land owned by the United States and managed by Interior, Defense, the Forest Service, or Energy, and also Indian country. The rule would apply in all states, D.C., Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories. The President would take needed actions to enforce this prohibition.
