Commerce blockchain policy and advisors
This bill would create a Blockchain Deployment Program at the Department of Commerce. The Commerce Secretary would lead federal work on blockchain, tokens, and tokenization, and advise the President. The Department would set best practices on identity, cybersecurity, key storage, AI, fraud, e‑commerce, health care uses, and supply chains, and coordinate agency adoption and security. Within 180 days after enactment, advisory committees would be formed with agency officials and outside experts, including developers, businesses, consumer groups, rural leaders, cybersecurity experts, and artists. This would not directly change household taxes or benefits, but could shape future rules and products.
