DC students: unused tuition aid would expire
If enacted, this would stop DC tuition support funds from carrying over after each fiscal year. Any unspent federal money for the DC resident tuition support program would lapse that year, for both public and private school options. The rule would apply to funds for fiscal year 2016 and later. Starting in fiscal year 2026, the DC Chief Financial Officer would report to Congress within 60 days on the number of student payments, the average aid amount, and any unspent funds.
