Annual review of farm supply risks

This bill would require a yearly USDA assessment of U.S. dependence on key farm inputs if China weaponizes supply. The report would cover equipment, fuel, fertilizer, feed ingredients, veterinary drugs and vaccines, crop chemicals, seed, and other inputs. It would describe domestic production capacity, current and potential bottlenecks, and give steps to reduce reliance on China, including legislative or regulatory fixes to boost onshore or nearshore production. Company participation would be voluntary. No trade secrets would be collected, and only aggregated data could be shared publicly.
