Faster public-lands decisions for projects
This bill would force Interior to reissue nine named Bureau of Land Management plans within 60 days. Each reissued plan would select the specified preferred alternative (such as Alternative A, B, or C). Those documents would be treated as meeting NEPA, FLPMA, and the Administrative Procedure Act. No new environmental studies or reviews would be required for those plans. This could speed permits for energy and other projects on those public lands and reduce chances for new legal challenges.
