Suicide prevention help at your doctors office

HHS would fund up to 10 grants for primary care offices, up to $500,000 each for 2 years. Only one office per state could get a grant, and each office could get only one. If your doctors office gets a grant, doctors would screen for self-harm using federal standards set within 180 days. The office would hire clinical social workers to give short-term help and refer you for longer care. Offices would report each quarter on screenings, services, and referrals, and HHS would report to Congress in 2 years and then every 2 years.
