Summary
Would require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to call enrolled veterans to reschedule canceled mental health appointments. If a covered veteran cancels a VA mental health visit by any method, the Secretary would seek to reschedule by contacting the veteran by telephone. If the veteran does not reschedule on the first call, the Secretary would make at least one more telephone attempt. The bill would define a "covered veteran" as a veteran enrolled in the VA patient enrollment system under 38 U.S.C. 1705(a).
