HUD Transparency Act of 2025

Summary

Annual congressional testimony by the HUD Inspector General would require the IG to report yearly on the Office of Inspector General's activities and capabilities. By October 1 each year the IG would appear before the House Committee on Financial Services and the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs to address fraud detection, audit and investigative capacity, program improvement opportunities, recommendations to improve efficiency and public accountability, resource sufficiency, and ongoing activities.
