Shingle Springs lands moved into trust

If enacted, the Interior Secretary would place about 80 acres and about 185 acres into trust for the Tribe within 180 days. Public Land Order 3309 from 1964 would be revoked at enactment, and jurisdiction would move to Interior. The trust land would become part of the Tribe’s reservation and be managed under the usual tribal trust rules. Valid existing rights would remain in place. Interior would review if a survey is needed, complete it if so, allow minor corrections, and keep it on file at the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The parcels match the BLM map dated May 2, 2025.

No Class II or III gaming on trust land

If enacted, the parcels taken into trust would not be used for Class II or Class III gaming under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. This limit would apply once the land is placed into trust.
