Block big FAA cuts and privatizing

If enacted, the Secretary of Transportation would need Congress’s approval before cutting, replacing, or outsourcing 1% or more of FAA workers. Before asking, the Secretary would have to send Congress a report that explains why and how the change would affect aviation and transportation. The bill would bar privatizing or outsourcing the FAA’s air traffic control system. It would also stop the Administrator of the Department of Governmental Efficiency from taking control of the FAA. These limits would apply even if other laws say something different.
