CAST Act

Would require an interagency report on whether to expand the Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATF South) to counter illicit firearms trafficking in the Caribbean. Within 180 days the Secretary of Defense would coordinate with the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security and any other needed agencies to assess feasibility, what treaty or agreement changes would be required, estimated resource and cost needs, force depletion risks, and coordination needs with international, regional, federal, state, and local partners.
