More M-44 use and cancel 2023 wildlife agreement

If enacted, USDA would be allowed to buy and use M-44 sodium cyanide devices and compound 1080. USDA could train private landowners and wildlife-control contractors to use them, and buy parts. The bill would cancel a wildlife damage agreement signed November 15, 2023 (BLM-MOU-HQ230-2023-05). USDA would not need to send Congress updates on the prior ban in the 2024 spending law. Ranchers and pest-control firms could get more access to these tools, while nearby communities and pets could face higher safety risks.
