Blocks agency cuts to land-grant colleges

If enacted, federal officials would not be allowed to cut, pause, or end funding for land-grant colleges. They could do so only if Congress passes a law that clearly allows it. Land-grant colleges are defined in 7 U.S.C. 3103. This could protect teaching, research, and extension services for students, farmers, and rural communities. The bill would not add new money or set an effective date.
