Disabled vets keep more retired pay
This bill would let more military retirees receive both VA disability pay and retired pay. It would include retirees with any service‑connected rating, not just 50% or higher. If you retired for disability under Chapter 61 with under 20 years, the VA offset would be limited. Your retired pay could only be reduced down to 2.5% times your years of service times your retired pay base. If enacted, changes would start the first day of the first month after it becomes law and apply to payments for months after that.
