Summary

Creates a one-year public study to diagnose and recommend solutions for the U.S. nursing shortage. The MORE Nurses Act directs the National Advisory Council on Nurse Education and Practice to examine nursing workforce trends and education capacity, identify causes of the shortage, review prior studies to avoid duplication, assess federal policies affecting education, diversity, and incentives for underserved areas, and deliver a public report with legislative and regulatory recommendations to the President, Congress, and the Department of Health and Human Services within one year.
